Vivid Sydney Celebrations in 2011


Celebrations and celebrations, every one wants to celebrate the major happiness and activities of life, when we talk about countries celebrations means “Big level Fiesta” which provides opportunities to the people to celebrate at a grand level with the countrymen. Such kind of festivals also attracts the tourist and people all over the world come to enjoy, one of such festival is Vivid Sydney 2011.

Celebrations of Vivid Sydney Festival 2011 commenced on 27th May, Deputy Premier of NSW Andrew Stoner formally opened Vivid Sydney and said “On the opening weekend The Rocks and Circular Quay were packed with people, the atmosphere similar to New Year’s Eve with families, kids and friends out and about enjoying the festival. Thousands have followed the trail of light around Circular Quay and The Rocks, taking in over 40 light installations including interactive light sculptures and awe-inspiring projections by a global field of artists from countries including Germany, Singapore, New Zealand, The Netherlands, France, Thailand and Australia.”

Light Music and Ideas at Vivid Sydney 2011 attracted the tourists, above 400,000 people are expected to visit Vivid Sydney 2011, Andrew said “Crowds have been gathering on the water’s edge of Sydney Harbour around Campbells Cove to enjoy the live fire spectacle of FireDance, also proving popular is the Unfamiliar Customs light show on Customs House, where state of the art 3D mapping technology leaves the whole of the façade appearing to melt, crumble, catch fire and fill with water. Whether you throw light at the MCA to achieve a giant paint graffiti effect or play hopscotch on the Moore Steps in Circular Quay with the stairs lighting up with color as you walk up and down them, nobody should miss Vivid Sydney this year.”

Just few days left, Vivid Sydney Festival 2011 will come to can end on 13th of May 2011 and will take all the colors, sources of enjoyment and recreations with it. The only thing that will remain will be the memories of its festivities in the hearts and minds of people.
